Elmhurst has a really solid nursing program, and I like the small-school environment that it offers. I chose nursing because I really enjoy helping people. I think that's my purpose in life, to serve others.

My favorite parts of the program were the lab simulation and clinical rotations. The preceptors we had were phenomenal role models. They took the time to walk us through the procedures, the equipment, and the nursing care that patients needed.

My experience with this program has been nothing but outstanding. From the instructors, always answering my questions, the placement team coordinating my clinical locations or just the overall close-knit family feel.

Listening to my classmates and friends talk about their experiences in clinical has been exciting. They are having the experience they hoped for and putting knowledge [that we learned in class] into the actual setting with real patients.

Elmhurst’s online MENP program was attractive to me because it is asynchronous education. It allowed me to maintain my daily life schedule while gaining the education I needed to further my career.

The best part of the MENP program is the relationships I’ve built over time and the opportunities and experiences we’ve had through clinicals. During your clinicals, you can practice the skills you are learning and facilitate compassion to your patients.

It's a lot of work, but you will succeed if you put in the time and effort. It's a great program. The instructors have all been amazing. I would recommend Elmhurst to anyone.

My residency experience has been really great. You do things in repetition, so you can improve on your skills and strengthen the skill sets that you'll need when you get to clinicals. The hands-on approach is very beneficial.

I really liked how Elmhurst finds clinical placements in your local area. I was excited to stay within my Minnesota community and was placed at a hospital with people I know and am comfortable with.
